Last week, Moulton College celebrated staff who successfully completed two leadership development programmes delivered by FE Associates, also gaining professional recognition from the Chartered Institution for Further Education. Graduates of the Executive Leadership Team Development Programme and Leading the Future Programme received professional recognition as Associates of the Chartered Institution for Further Education (CIFE), reflecting their commitment to their own professional and leadership development. The Associateships were conferred in a dedicated presentation event, the first to be held by the Chartered Institution on a college campus.
The recognition builds on the partnership announced last year between FE Associates and the Chartered Institution for Further Education, which allows eligible qualifying graduates of FE Associates’ leadership development programmes to gain professional recognition as Associates of the Institution.
FE Associates Managing Director and Fellow of the Chartered Institution for Further Education, Matt Atkinson, who addressed graduates at the event, said:
“This is not only a celebration of what these leaders have achieved individually, but a recognition of the collaboration and trust they have built with one another. Development is not something leadership eventually allows you to stop doing – it is something leadership requires you to keep doing, for as long as you hold the responsibility.”
The presentation took place against the backdrop of a further education sector defined by change, opportunity and reform, and at a particularly significant moment for Moulton College itself, which is currently in public consultation on a proposed merger with Northampton College to create a single, stronger college group serving Northamptonshire.
The event also reflects Moulton College’s commitment to investing in staff professional development and celebrating their achievements. The Chartered Institution for Further Education supports FE providers in acknowledging individuals’ attainment and professional development via its Professional Recognition Framework with three tiers of recognition from Associateship through to Fellowship.
FE Associates congratulates all programme graduates on their achievements and on receiving their professional recognition as Associates of the Chartered Institution for Further Education.
