Introduction
Founded in 1889, Morley College London is one of the UK’s oldest and largest specialist providers of adult learning, with a proud history, a strong social purpose and an ambitious future. From our historic Waterloo base and our centres in North Kensington and Chelsea, we offer a distinctive curriculum spanning essential skills, the arts and creative industries, social and applied sciences and a growing Higher Education provision, alongside a rich cultural offer that includes Morley Gallery and Morley Radio. Financially resilient and well positioned for managed growth, we are now seeking a Director of Business Development to help deliver the growth ambitions of our new Strategic Plan 2026–2030.
This new role will lead the College’s renewed focus on sustainable and inclusive growth: developing new income streams, expanding fundraising and project income, building high-value partnerships, and providing strategic leadership across sales, marketing, communications and engagement. We welcome applicants from a wide range of backgrounds, whether retail, higher education, the cultural or charitable sectors, FE or the commercial world. Above all, we are looking for an energetic, collaborative and curious leader with strong commercial instinct and the confidence to bring fresh thinking to a mission-led organisation.
