Introduction

Shape the future of further education at one of the UK’s leading College groups. Harrow, Richmond & Uxbridge Colleges Group (HRUC) is among the largest further education providers in the UK, supporting over 15,000 learners across west London. At the heart of everything we do is a commitment to delivering an outstanding learning experience that transforms lives and drives personal growth, wellbeing and economic opportunity. Led by values of diversity, inclusion and excellence, we are ambitious for the future. We aim to be the College of Choice and to be recognised as a leader in the sector – both nationally and internationally – by embracing innovative approaches to teaching and learning and by equipping our students with the skills they need to thrive. Our exceptional staff and industry-standard facilities underpin consistently outstanding student achievement. Looking ahead, our ambitious curriculum plans to 2030 will further strengthen our employer-led market-leading offer.

Could you help guide our next chapter? We seek a new governor to join our Board and are keen to hear from individuals who have already operated at executive or board level within further education or related skills organisations. We would especially welcome people bringing insight into the evolving skills and apprenticeships landscape. This is an opportunity for individuals with deep sector insight, strategic perspective and a genuine passion for education to help shape the direction of a high-performing and ambitious organisation.

As a governor, you will play a key role in steering HRUC’s future – supporting our mission, strengthening our governance and ensuring the effective and responsible use of public funds. Your experience will help us to continue to innovate, build on our strong track record of student success and deliver for our learners and communities.

We welcome applicants who share our commitment to excellence, our aspirations for our students and our belief in the transformative power of further education. We are particularly keen to hear from candidates who bring not only expertise but also a fresh perspective. Our Governing Board is made up of talented individuals from diverse professional and personal backgrounds, and we are committed to broadening that diversity further across age, gender, ethnicity and experience.

If you are passionate about further education and ready to make a meaningful impact, we invite you to find out more. We have appointed FE Associates to support us with this important appointment. Contact Elle.Hurst@fea.co.uk to learn more about this opportunity.
