About This Workshop
This one-day workshop is designed for people without financial expertise and will provide the skills required to understand organisational finance and the relationship between financial and operational strategies in colleges.
The workshop aims to demystify the world of Further Education finance and will give delegates an understanding of key financial concepts and terminology. Delegates will leave with a deeper level of understanding, an awareness of the drivers of financial and operational effectiveness, and the ability to apply the learning to their leadership and decision-making.
Through the use of a range of engaging practical and interactive activities, delegates will have a stronger awareness of the drivers of financial health, become comfortable using key financial reports and documents, build their awareness of the relationship between funding, finance and the business cycle and understand the fundamentals of effective financial business planning.
Who Is The Workshop For?
This workshop is for leaders and managers who wish to strengthen their knowledge of Further Education finance. This workshop has been designed to build a foundation level of knowledge and understanding and is pitched at an introductory level. Delegates will not have financial expertise and will not have undertaken previous leadership training that covers Further Education finance. The workshop is suitable for new or recently appointed leaders and managers and for those who may be leading for the first time in a college setting.
